Discussion items
- Landscape and snow removal contract: all four board members voted yes to accept J&R contract renewal. Instructions to add to contract:
- use ice melt (not just salt) especially on hill by south gate after snow is cleared.
- Pre-salt before storm by south gate if possible
- Remind J&R that Jeff gave the landscapers a remote this summer and to use it to open the west gate to clear snow more effectively.
- Sidewalks at both gates need to be cleared and salted.
Board is considering leaving the gates open if a big storm is
anticipated so drivers can exit south gate easier and help with snow removal at
west gate entrance?
- Gates: hinges need to be greased. South exit is especially squeaky. Check timer schedule on west gate. It is opening on Sunday morning at 7 am and staying open until the afternoon. Stuart will check it out before we call Buchanan.
- Garbage cans for parks: several neighbors have asked about getting a black garbage can for each park that is emptied each week when the neighborhood’s cans are picked up. The original Underhill park can is gone and the Amtrak can is brittle and cracked. Wasatch Waste can provide two cans for $35/month. Neighbors that live near the park will help get the can to the street curb for pick up. All four board members voted yes to get cans. Ask Carolee to set it up.
- Reserve study update: We’ve been talking about getting an update for about a year. Was it ever completed? Original study completed in 2013. Board would like to get it done asap. Ask Carolee to follow up.
- Fence slats that are sagging: fence on south west corner near south gate are falling due to lower rail is sagging. Ask Carolee about fixing it.
