Copper Valley HOA Meeting
January 13, 2015
Meeting opened at 7:33 pm
In attendance: Stuart, Bernice, Jeanine, Michelle, Alisha, Brie (community member)
Calendar Items:
a. Next board meeting: March 10th at Jeanine's
b. Date for community meeting Tuesday, April 7th, at 7:00 pm. Alisha to schedule library. Will let the board know as soon as confirmation is sent.
Budget: Have questions for Jason about contract services.
Michelle motions that we move forward with lawsuit. Bernice seconds. (Motion passes 5-0)
Bernice motions we move forward with all legal action for those with past dues. Stuart seconds. (Motion passes 5-0)
Discussion Items
a. Neighborhood complaint - request for fine waiver.
Jeanine motions to keep the fine in place because the homeowner has waited too long to discuss with the board. Stuart seconds. (Motion passes 5-0)
b. March Newsletter: Bernice to do message from the board (what our dues go toward), nominated members for board, elections, spring tips, community meeting information.
c. Gates: looping problem with west gate has been fixed. Follow up with Jason to find out if they have come back to fix the man gates.
d. Snow removal: board members to keep track of when plows come.
e. Electricians: Stuart trying to get them back. Lights at south gate still tripping. Does the electrician need a reminder call? Are we on his list?
f. Nomination Committee: board nominated community members to fill vacancies. Board members were assigned to ask those nominated if they would like to be included on the ballot. Get back to each other wihtin a few days with answers. Ask Jason to send out letter to all community members that if they would like to vote or be able to be on the board, they need to be current on all dues and fines owed to the community.
g. Board roles and responsibilities: reminder that we are a team and that any community member coming to complain to us needs to do so to the entire board in an email or letter rather than going to individuals.
